How To be successful in ANY Social Media Campaign

How To be successful in ANY Social Media Campaign

One thing I get asked a lot is, "How do you do social media? I never seem to get any results from it"

The answer is rather simple - most people believe that when they push their products on consumers that they should immediately fall over backwards trying to buy everything they sell... The problem is without a focused demographic, content specific for that demographic, and a group filled with like-minded individuals you're going to have a tough time using it correctly.

The biggest problem is - How do I get the right people to like my Facebook page?

What I do when I start any campaign is start a giveaway on Day 1. This could be a $20 visa gift card, $20 amazon gift card... For some of my online gaming brand sites I push steam giftcards, gamestop etc... The more people you have and the higher dollar value the item is the more likely you will be to have something get very popular/viral. I have one gaming site that now has over 80,000 Facebook users that are ACTIVE and constantly reading what I have to say on a daily basis because 4 weeks in a row I had a kickass $50-100 giveaway and continued as I made more money with the project.

In doing so I make sure people have a vested interested into what I am trying to promote and if done correctly it can go viral and build you a solid foundation to start off your campaign.

When you make this giveaway post you need to include the basic rules and follow the steps below:

1. To be entered in the drawing you need to like/share this Facebook Page with your friends.

2. To be entered more than once you can also follow us on Twitter/G+/add your email to the newsletter/ and retweet (Link Here to Both)

3. I like to tie this into a blog on a site I'm working to monetize and send some nice traffic and get these numbers up.

4. Drop this on a niche specific forum/subreddit/Youtube video/Blog and start pushing traffic to these giveaways.

5. Now that you have a handful of people liking your Facebook page it's time to start using Facebook ads.

6. Use appropriate images - beauty niche better be beautiful/pretty. Athletes - better have muscles/Weight Loss better show skinny people and so on.

7. Get inside the mind of the consumer of this product and make sure you do your due diligence. My Video game site is geared towards 14-25 and I absolutely kill it with that demographic. Do I still have the basement dwelling 30 and 40 year olds? Absolutely... but I know my audience and seek them out daily.

I use Facebook LeadChef to scrape users from other SIMILAR/NICHE SPECIFC Facebook pages and then filter them accordingly. This allows me to get a very cheap CPC for the ad and know that I'm not just sending ads and wasting money on every Joe Schmo out there. Targeting is by far the most important aspect of any ad campaign.

Rinse and Repeat this often - the most important part of this is STEP 4. Finding those traffic source to help cross-promote and kickstart your efforts will help leaps and bounds when you end up sending that traffic back to the page you're promoting.

Good Luck and if you have any questions that I can answer I'll be sure to.
